Jooyoung Son
Co-founder & Instructor
Jooyoung is the co-founder and an instructor at Elin Pilates who is passionate about helping clients rediscover strength, comfort, and confidence through mindful movement. After experiencing the transformative benefits of Pilates during her own postpartum recovery, she was inspired to pursue her path as an instructor.
She holds certifications in Rehabilitation Pilates through MagicBody Academy International (Functional Anatomy, Mat, Reformer, and CCB), Prenatal & Postnatal Pilates through the Method Body Pilates Association, and completed the STOTT PILATES Intensive Reformer 2nd Edition program. Since beginning her teaching journey in 2023, Jooyoung has worked with over 200 clients in both Korean and English.
Her teaching style emphasizes intentional movement, balance, and creating a calm, supportive environment where clients of all levels can feel stronger, more connected, and empowered in their bodies.

Shizuko Shirotori
Instructor
Shizuko is a PMA®-certified Pilates instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience. She holds an MA in Dance Education from New York University, where she studied movement analysis, anatomy, dance therapy, and a wide range of dance forms, developing a deeply holistic understanding of movement.
She completed her Pilates teacher training at the Kane School in New York and continued her studies with Power Pilates, specializing in the Classical Pilates method under renowned master teachers. She also earned her Gyrokinesis® certification in 2005.
Known for her thoughtful and refined teaching style, Shizuko is passionate about lifelong learning and helping clients build strength, awareness, and connection through movement. Outside the studio, she finds inspiration in Flamenco, Tango, theatre, and the visual arts.

Carole Ham
Instructor
Carole is a classically trained Pilates instructor who completed The Pilates Center's renowned 950-hour Advanced Teacher Training Program in 2012. With experience teaching reformer, mat, spring wall, and chair Pilates, she is passionate about helping clients build strength, improve mobility, and develop a deeper connection with their bodies.
Her teaching style emphasizes intentional movement, proper alignment, and creating a supportive yet appropriately challenging environment for all levels. Carole's goal is for every client to leave feeling stronger, more confident, and empowered in their movement.
